Simon Brodkin performs on the stand-up circuit and in comedy television series. He is best known for playing a character called Lee Nelson. Brodkin used his Lee Nelson character in the FIFA prank.

Given that the extraordinary elective Congress will take place on 26 February 2016, the deadline for submission of candidates for the office of FIFA President must take place by 26 October 2015 at the latest. Djimrabaye Bourngar from Chad has been appointed as the deputy chairman of the investigatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee until the 66th FIFA Congress in 2016.

FIFA did not reveal why it takes that long to elect a new President. Sepp Blatter can continue to reign amidst all the scandals another six months.

The FIFA members re-elected Blatter end of May despite the corruption scandal. On June 2nd Blatter announced is resignation because of the world-wide outcry.
