Mark Hamill is returning to voice “The Joker” for the upcoming animated film “Batman: The Killing Joke.”

According to the Collider, Mark Hamill is lending his voice to The Joker once again; in fact, he has already recorded many lines for the super-villain in the new Batman film.
Mark Hamill provided the voice to the Clown Prince of Crime for more than two decades. His voice was featured in Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1994), “The New Batman Adventures”, “Superman: The Animated Series”, “Justice League” and “Birds of Prey”, in films "Batman: Mask of Phantasam ", "Batman: Return of the Joker" and "Batman: New Times" as well as in Batman Arkham video games. Hamill announced to quit The Joker in 2011. In October 2011, he tweeted.

Hamill stuck to his retirement decision for a while but in 2015, he reprised Joker in a video game “Batman: Arkham Knight and now he is playing the character in the upcoming television series as well.

Created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kana, The Joker is the arch-enemy of Batman and first appeared in DC comic books on April 25, 1940. The character made his first onscreen appearance in 1960’s Batman TV series and Cesar Romeo was the first actor who played The Joker, followed by Jack Nicholson in 1989 film “Batman” and Heath Ledger in 2008’s “The Dark Knight” for which he has received a posthumous Academy Award as well. The latest to play Joker is Jerad Leto who will appear in 2016 superhero film “Suicide Sqaud”. Joker has been voiced by many voice actors including Michael Emerson, Jeff Bennett and Troy Baker but Mark Hamills’ voice is widely considered most suitable for this character.
