The pair fought when Zayn retweeted dueling images of Miley Cyrus and Calvin's girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Zayn Malik sure has been stirring up the trouble on social media as of late - the former 1D member pushed the wrong buttons this time, however, when he tried to bring down the Queen of Pop, Taylor Swift. Only it wasn't Taylor or her Gal Squad that confronted Zayn, it was Calvin Harris. Calvin, though much quieter, is a huge presence in the music industry and has worked with everyone.

The social media fight started just a few hours ago when Malik retweeted a user who posted side-by-side quotes on the music industry from Taylor Swift (Harris' girlfriend) and Miley Cyrus. The tweet is gone now, but it seemed to compare the difference in opinions of the two powerhouses over music streaming services. You can still see the tweet at the original source:
By now, most people know where Taylor stands on streaming - she is a vocal advocate for songwriters and producers. Meanwhile the quote from Cyrus is taken from a W cover story, in which she said, "I've made my money. If no one buys my album, it's cool. It's fine. I've got a house, and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else."
Harris who must have seen the retweet as a dig at Taylor, tweeted right to him:"You've made your money? Cool…f--- the 99 percent of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? yeah f--- em."
Then, seemingly upset because he does fall into that group of people, posted a rant saying:
"If u don't get what it means when successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry … stay out of my f---in mentions pls … While u kids are refresh voting teen choice awards there's some poor f---er in a basement making your new favorite record trying to survive … Meaning … stay out of things you don't understand."
Zayn did not like the way Harris was responding and tweeted back: "ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself … you clearly didn't understand what I just said either … so I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out … Oh and I write my own s--- too d---head."
Harris seemingly cooled down, responding to Malik, "all good, it was the quote not you personally" before apparently apologizing: "best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice."

It seems like Harris came out of this as the bigger man, but Zayn most likely isn't done.
