Christian Bale will portray Ferrari the Italian founder of the world famous automobiles.
The Wrap has recently confirmed Christian Bale will play the character of Enzo Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari was the Italian founder of the Ferrari cars company. Ferrari was also a well-known race car driver of his time.

The film on Ferrari’s life will be directed by the director Michael Mann. Bale has already worked with Mann on the acclaimed 2009 film Public Enemies. The duo will once again join hands to bring the life of Ferrari to the big screen.
The film will be a sort of a biopic but set mainly in the year 1957. Rather a life story of the character the film will focus on Ferrari’s life in 1957. The year is especially notorious for the name Ferrari. A Ferrari car crashed and four adults and five children were found dead as a result.
The film will be based on a book on the life of Enzo Ferrari. The book called ‘Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races, The Machine’. The life of Enzo Ferrari was definitely filled with action.
The race car driver and entrepreneur fought in WWI, had numerous affairs, and a child out of wedlock. Ultimately Ferrari had a tragic death but his life was definitely interesting.
Reportedly Bale and Mann are currently seeking financial assistance. The duo will be at the forthcoming festivals such as the Toronto and Venice film festivals. The search for a female lead is also underway.

This is not Mann’s first Ferrari related project. The director was supposed to make a film about the rivalry between Ferrari and Ford. The film was going to be titled ‘Go Like Hell’ set in 1966 the Le Mans race. But the project never took off.
