iPhone 6S 12MP Camera Confirmed but No Pink

New reports confirm that the iPhone 6S will adopt a 12MP camera.

The camera module of the iPhone 6S has not yet leaked. Many other parts have leaked already. Rumors said for a while that the iPhone 6S will have an improved camera with 12MP.

The 12MP camera rumor got fuel right after it became clear that Apple sticks with an 8MP camera in the iPhone 6. Now finally Apple is going to increase the resolution to 12MP, while many other vendors already moved to 16MP or even 20MP.

A source from the supply chain has confirmed to Business Insider recently that the 12MP iPhone 6S camera is in mass production. It will have a 5 element lens, which is the same number as in the iPhone 6. The source also said that the iPhone 7 will have 6 elements, enhancing the optical capabilities.

According to a BGR report today says that a China Telecom executive confirmed on Weibo that the iPhone 6S has a 12MP camera. He also said that there will be no pink or rose gold iPhone 6S. This news is a big disappointment especially for Chinese iPhone fans. As reported a post with fake Pink iPhone 6S photos went viral on social networks earlier this month.

Other features the China Telecom executive confirmed are Touch Screen display, 2GB RAM and 64-bit A9 CPU. He also said that the release date of the iPhone 6S in China between September 18 and September 25.
