Billboard.com's Gary Trust says Sheehan achieved the milestone for the week of Sept. 5. Sheehan has been on the Billboard Artist 100 for 60 weeks.
The list made its debut on July 19, 2014. Sheehan has been in the Top 20 every week since it began. Since Oct. 25, he's been in the Top 10, per Billboard.com.
Sheehan's 339 percent increase in album sales boosted his rise to No. 1. His "x" album jumped from No. 7 to No. 2 in Billboard's Top Album Sales. The album's sales increased by 378 percent, per Nielsen Music (via Billboard.com).
Sheehan's current single is "Photograph." It is No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Country singer Luke Bryan takes the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Artist 100. He has also been in the chart for 60 weeks. He was No. 1 last week.
Bryan's activity in the Billboard Artist 100 is down by 58 percent. His "Kill The Lights" album is still No. 1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales, per Trust.
The Weekend, Taylor Swift and Drake are also in the Billboard Artist 100's top five, per Trust.
Elvis Presley re-enters the Billboard Artist 100 at No. 31. Presley's new "Elvis Forever" collection is in this week's Top Billboard 200 Album chart. It is his 53rd top 40 title in this chart, per Billboard.com.

Trust says the Billboard Artist 100 "measures artist activity across Billboard's influential charts." These include the Billboard Hot 100, Top Album Sales and Social 50.
The Billboard Artist 100 also takes into account track sales, radio airplay and social media fan interaction. These are used to gauge an artist's popularity, per Trust.
Sheehan is not just a good singer. He's also trying to make his mark as an actor.
He recently made a cameo appearance on "Home and Away." It is an Australian soap opera, per Press Association (via TheGuardian.com).
Sheehan filmed his scenes while on tour in Australia. He portrays Teddy, the son of Marilyn Chambers.
He discussed his brief role with Press Association:
"It's an Australian institution. It's always on in my local chip shop. I got asked to do it and it sounded like it could be fun. I did Shortland Street in New Zealand as well and I'm sure if Emmerdale or EastEnders ever ask me in England I would do that as well."
Sheehan is the only international celebrity to appear on the soap opera. The last time a big-name musician appeared on the show was in the late 1980s. That was the time Australian singer John Farnham made an appearance, per Press Association.
