It will be the first Ford vehicle that will be featuring the high-end Sony home audio technology. Live Acoustics and Clear Phase technologies will be there. These will bring realistic concert quality sound to the new Explorer Platinum.
Sony engineers have done a lot of hard work. They spent more than 100 hours tuning the audio system in the new Explorer. They want to provide Platinum driver and passengers with best audio experience on the road.
The system had 12 high power speakers in 10 carefully selected locations. Along with these an all-new Class D amplifier in order to deliver a loss-less power source.
This will basically drive the speaker output without straining it. When combined there 12 speakers are capable of a maximum 500 watts.
With this new Sony system the drivers of the Ford Explorer Platinum will feel great. They will feel like they are listening to a live concert with instruments. These will be placed in distinctive and acoustically correct zones on the vehicle’s dashboard.
The Clear Phase technology optimizes the sound stage inside Explorer Platinum. It will make the music sound as though it’s coming from a stage larger than the vehicle itself.

All the instruments are located in their proper places. And vocals are classified instead of lost behind distorted sound. Plus this Clear Phase technology also eliminates sound dispersion. And in doing so it allows the music to be properly focused in specific areas of the sound stage.
