Jeff Bezos’ rocket company, Blue Origin is to launch several missions from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is on cloud nine. His space company, Blue Origin has won a bid to launch rockets in Florida. The vote was heavily in his favor and he was given an $8 million grant by the authorities.

Bezos is a billionaire and the head of Amazon.com. He is to unveil the drive in the middle of September. Jeff is all hushed up about the whole project. He wants to keep the curious guessing.
The initiative is called Project Panther. Bits and pieces of convo regarding the issues involved have emerged through leaks. A rocket-building scheme is underway. NASA’s Kennedy Space Center will be the venue.
Blue Origin has a competitor in the form of SpaceX. SpaceX is Elon Musk’s initiative. Blue Origin and SpaceX contested a site recently and SpaceX won the lawsuit much to Jeff Bezos’ disappointment.
Blue Origin plans to make an input of $200 million into its project. The shutting down of the space shuttle program caused many to be downsized. Jeff Bezos wants to lend succour to the job market in the region by creating room for 330 careers.
Cape Canaveral has been the site for rocket launch pads since the 50s. In case of Blue Origin, the pieces of equipment will be made on a local basis, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, SpaceX seems to have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Blue Origin has lost exclusive rights to its site over the sea to Elon Musk’s company. The dispute was over a piece of land in common between the two.
Since there could only be one claimant to the limited space, both Blue Origin and SpaceX vied with one another in the form of fervent litigation. The verdict was in favor of SpaceX though, reported Geekwire.
Space travel along with sending people into outer space seem to be the watchword here. Both Blue Origin and SpaceX are working on this project. They are very bitter rivals and seem to want to hurt each other every step of the way.
