The citizens of the Bay Area have been issued a warning to reduce their polluting activities to minimize and stabilize the air pollution ensuring safe air for everyone to breathe.

For the past few decades, increasing temperatures and climatic changes have been observed. All around the world, the levels of pollution have been known to rise and the authorities have been taking their own forms of action for minimization and control.
One of the authorities, The Bay Area Air Quality Management District raised the fifth Spare the Air Alert for smog for the year 2015. The reason behind this alert is the oncoming heat wave which is supposed to invade the area from 7th Sept. during that threat, the quality of air in the district is feared to be under a compromised state.
Spare the Air Alert states the members of the public to postpone or minimize tasks that can help heighten air pollution. Such activities include driving, utilizing gasoline-operated machines, painting with oil-based materials or using aerosol products like household cleaning sprays.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District will be collecting increased fines from the people who are caught violating the rule. $400 fine amount from 2014 will be observed while the fine for those who will be caught for the second time will be increased to $500.
