Yu Yunique launches in India for just $75

World's cheapest 4G HD smartphone.

Yu Televentures, an online subsidiary of Micromax, today launched its third phone. Focusing on the mid range cell phone market, the company presents Yu Yunique.

Yu Yunique is a 4G competent handset. The phone is available for just Rs 4,999 ($75). The phone will be sold online through Snapdeal.

The company claims that Yunique is the cheapest 4G HD smartphone in the world The Yu Yunique supports a 4.7-inch HD (1,280 x 7, 20 pixels) display.

It is controlled by a 64-bit capable Snapdragon 410 quad-center SoC clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 1GB RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

If you need more storage capacity, then there is also a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Users will also have the option to install Cyanogen OS 12.1 later.

Yu Yunique also features an 8-megapixel back camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor at the back. It accompanies a 2,000mAh non-removable battery.

The battery could present up to 270 hours of standby time, according to company claims. The phone is dual SIM. It supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and other standard connectivity alternatives.

Yu Yunique will basically be a nice looking, and well-specced entry-level phone by YU. The registrations for the Yunique will begin today, 08-09-2015, from 6:00 PM IST.

The phone will be on sale every Tuesday at 12 noon from September 15.
