As expected, the newer iPhones feature 2GB of RAM.
Apple yesterday announced its new iPhones but was quiet about the RAM capacity inside its new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

Generally, Apple resists revealing such details about its new phones. But, thankfully a Reddit user who also claims to be an Apple Support employee has posted that the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus without a doubt have 2 GB RAM.
The suggested RAM capacity was speculated long before this announcement. Not surprisingly, Apple never gives specs details and claims that it is not too important when it comes to user experience and the new iPhone is no exemption.
The Reddit source posted some screenshots, one of which apparently affirmed access to Apple's internal site asw.apple.com.
The post said that the 2 GB of RAM was found "in a PDF doc under the iPhone tab," however couldn't take a screenshot of it because of employee watermarking.
Apart from the 2GB RAM, there are other details also revealed from several other sources.
Other specifications of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus include the latest Apple A9 64-bit chip. It also has an updated graphics and CPU performance.
