Rumors are that Rebecca Ferguson will be seen in ‘Captain Marvel’. Emily Blunt has also been a contender for the role.

If you have seen Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation then you will definitely want to see Rebecca Ferguson in another upcoming film. Plus many of us would love to see her join the MCU as Captain Marvel. Well rumors are that Marvel wants her for the role.

Reports are that Ferguson is Marvel’s top choice to play Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. The movie will be the studio’s first solo female superhero film. Ferguson just last month declined a leading role in another superhero film.

The actress dropped out of Gambit, reported SC. In Gambit she would have starred opposite Channing Tatum. She dropped out of Gambit as she wanted star in Tate Taylor’s upcoming adaptation of The Girl on the Train. Now there is no need to be upset as Captain Marvel is not hitting theaters until 2018. This means she can dedicate time to the MCU.

Ferguson came into the limelight with her outstanding role in The White Queen series for Starz. But she broke out recently with her part in Mission Impossible. Since Mission Impossible, fans have been vocal for her to play Captain Marvel.

Emily Blunt, Ferguson’s co-star in Girl on the Train, has also been a heavy favorite for the part of Marvel’s leading lady. Captain Marvel will be scripted by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. The movie is scheduled for release on November 2, 2018.
