Eli Manning will be happy to know that he won't have to be answering the question on everyone's mind lately: where will he be next season? His original six year contract with the New York Giants runs out this year, and he announced that he was worried about where he would end up if he were to leave. Instead, the two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback can, without a shred of a doubt, say that he will be a Giant for at least another four years thanks to the new extension that he signed on Friday. The deal? Worth a reported $84 million, of which a whopping $65 million of which is guaranteed to Manning.

The numbers are somewhat staggering and are on par with some of the deals completed earlier this year for fellow class of 2004 elite quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers. Roethlisberger, who signed with the Steelers, penned a deal worth $87.4 million, with only $31 of that guaranteed. Rivers signed a 4-year deal worth $83.25 million with the Chargers. Sixty-five million of that is guaranteed.

In case there were any worries that he could be traded, Manning’s extension also includes a coveted no-trade clause, according to The Washington Post.

The Giants had a rough time last year - posting their worst season record, going 6-10, since Manning became a full time start in 2005. They went 6-10. It was somewhat of a shock because just a season before, Manning threw a career-high 17 interceptions.

On the flip side, Manning, a three-time Pro Bowler, led the team to Super Bowl wins in the 2007-08 and 2011-12 seasons.

The Giants will kick off their seasons this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys - who are sure to be fierce competition. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
