New Apple TV Unboxing Video Is Remarkably Early

The new Apple TV is supposed to ship in October, but the first unboxing video of the new Apple TV has been released.

Andru Edwards is one of our first partners we worked with building out I4U News in the early years over a decade ago. Andru moved on the build his Gearlive media business and he just landed a huge exclusive.

He published the first unboxing video of the new Apple TV 4, Apple announced on September 9. The new App and Siri enabled Apple TV is shipping at the end of October. Andru apparently managed to social engineer himself some alone time with a brand new Apple TV box in San Francisco on the Apple media event day.

He has been filming the unboxing in a hotel room. The video shows for the new bigger Apple TV unit and the new Siri Remote close up.

Apple is bundling a Lightning cable with the new Apple TV to charge the Siri Remote. The fourth piece is the Apple TV power cable. That is all that comes in the box for $149 Apple TV 32GB and the $199 Apple TV 64GB.

Andru hints at the end of the video that he will be following up with a new Apple TV hands-on video as well. Either he could keep the unit, our he had more time to spend with it. We will find out.

The all-new Apple TV is built from the ground up with a new generation of high-performance hardware and introduces an intuitive and fun user interface using the Siri Remote. Apple TV runs the all-new tvOS operating system, based on Appleā€™s iOS. Apple says that the future of Television are apps. The new Apple TV supports Siri to run universal search queries and more. The new Apple TV is also a gaming console. The Siri Remote is motion controller that can be used to play games like on the Nintendo Wii.
