  • American Ninja Warrior has a Winner by a Margin of Three Seconds

American Ninja Warrior finally had a winner who took home the $1 million prize money. And believe it or not but this conqueror won from his fellow competitor by a nail-biting margin of three seconds.

While Geoff Britten was going to be the undefeated champion, Isaac Caldiero came along and beat him to the finish line by a measly three seconds. But the payoff in the American Ninja Warrior Competition was huge.

Isaac got one million dollars of cold hard cash. Now that is what we call snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. And it was done in a slick and deft manner that left the judges impressed.

Geoff Britten is 36 years old and he happens to be the first warrior to complete the backbreaking course of the physical (and mental) challenge. However, the mountain climber Isaac came along and finished by a mere three seconds in advance.

This placed him in the winners’ category. At least that is what the rules say. And rules are rules. You cannot bend, twist or break them. A total of eight people competed in the challenge. Only two made it to the peak of Mount Midoriyama.

Isaac Caldiero later on spoke of how after winning the competition he felt he had done the impossible. He said that he wanted to inspire others like him to attempt the impossible and prove once and for all that it is possible.

"Winning this event always seemed impossible," Caldiero told THR. "As the first American Ninja Warrior I want to use this opportunity to inspire the world to find your impossible and conquer it."

This is the first time that two people have simultaneously conquered the heights of Mount Midoriyama. It is indeed a test of one’s raw physical mettle and mental toughness. The obstacles placed in the way of the competitors are not easy to overcome. They require nerves of steel to traverse and there are no two ways about this game of stress and strong muscles.

Isaac is a busboy in real life. But he has dedicated his life to competing in the American Ninja Warrior Contest. And now that he has succeeded in doing what normally cannot be done, he is a happy man.

But he does not want to rest on his laurels. There are more mountains to be climbed and there is indeed no rest for the wicked (so to speak in a metaphorical manner). As the obstacle course had gotten more and more of a task to accomplish with each succeeding year, the competitors started to get frayed nerves.

But persistence and consistency pays off big time in the end. And Isaac also praised Geoff who bears him no ill will. In fact, Geoff personally said to Isaac that if he had a chance to lose to someone he would have always chosen Isaac. Now there goes a gentleman!
