According to Trevorrow the next instalment is inspired from a quote from the original film Jurassic Park. Specifically a quote uttered by Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park is the core idea of Jurassic World 2.
The quote Trevorrow is talking about is one of the most iconic lines from Jurassic Park. The quote uttered by Malcolm’s character summarizes the perils of dealing with dinosaurs. In the quote Malcolm claims the owner stood on the shoulders of geniuses to produce dinosaurs speedily.
After creation they labelled them and patented them before realizing what they had created. Trevorrow explained his trilogy is formulated around the quote which is the essence of Jurassic World.
Trevorrow also revealed the upcoming film will be very different from Jurassic World. The previous film was an extraordinary reptile movie. But there can be repetition to a movie with dinosaurs chasing people around a single island.
