The iPhone 6S will be breaking the iPhone 6 sales record. The question is only which number Apple is going to publish. First Apple was very forthcoming with a statement saying that the iPhone 6S pre-orders will reach 10 million on the first weekend. Since then Apple has not mentioned any specific number. The next possible date for an announcement is Monday.

If nothing comes from the Cupertino consumer electronics giant on that day, then we likely have to wait until the next earnings call to learn about the iPhone 6S sales numbers. The Apple Q4 2015 Earnings call is expected on October 19, 2015. The company has not yet set the date for the Q4 2015 earnings call.
