  • Americans celebrate National Coffee Day with Passion and Energy

Most Americans celebrated National Coffee Day with passion and energy. It was a day when coffee lovers got their caffeine fix mostly free of cost.

It is not exactly an official holiday as such but most Yanks celebrate it nevertheless as a feel-good time. Especially all coffee addicts cannot get enough of their favorite brew on National Coffee Day which is on 29th September.

All of America thrives on coffee. The fact that tea didn’t find much favor in the United States has so much to do with the Boston Tea Party of yore. The wound on the American psyche left by that event caused a natural aversion to tea which still remains a British tradition. The Land of the Free found its national beverage in the form of good old java.

After oil, coffee is the most consumed thing on the planet. Cars run on oil while human beings can be said to survive on coffee. On the occasion of National Coffee Day, many outlets were giving away free coffee cups.

Krispy Kreme: One of the crowd’s most beloved places to get coffee was Krispy Kreme. Here you can get a 12 ounce cup of coffee along with a glazed donut absolutely free of cost.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Then there is Dunkin Donuts which passes on iced dark roast coffee which is simply the best.

Cumberland Farms: It has a site where you can text message and get a smoking hot cup off joe for free too. You have to text the phrase FREECOFFEE to 33733 and you’ll get a free coupon for a free hot or ice coffee of any siz today.

It is advised that the caffeine lovers not go overboard on this day since an excess of anything is bad. Beyond the three cups of coffee a day, things start to go awry. Jittery nerves, palpitations and insomnia are a few of the symptoms that manifest themselves in coffee junkies if they are not careful.

Coffee has its biggest supermarket in the form of the Starbucks franchise. All types of coffees from Mocha to Cappucino and Frappe are available here. Other free coffee deals for today are given below:

Coffee began its journey as berries from the coffee plant in Ethiopia. Later on it spread to Arabia during the golden period of Islam. Coffee is a stimulant that perks up the nerves and lends mental clarity and alertness to the individual who consumes it. Today it is America’s #1 beverage and a favorite of busy executives and computer freaks.

All night owls know the value of coffee. And at the Microsoft Headquarters, coffee and other caffeinated beverages are available free of cost. As Americans celebrate this day, dedicated to the roasted coffee beans that are used to make the bitter brew, they gain an even greater understanding of how this brain tonic keeps them the leading nation in terms of creativity as well as science and technology.
