The transsexual Caitlyn Jenner is to be absolved of criminal charges for killing a widow in a car accident. S/he will not be liable to any punishment as the L.A. District Attorney decided against pressing charges.
The District Attorney has refused to press charges against Caitlyn Jenner for manslaughter. Caitlyn was not a speed freak and s/he had no intentions of killing the opposing vehicle’s driver.
His/her only fault lay in applying the brakes a bit later than usual. And as far as Caitlyn’s sobriety was concerned, there were no signs of drunk driving or his/her having taken any intoxicants. Caitlyn was fit as a fiddle and in full possession of his/her rationality.
The circumstances were such that unfortunately a death occurred. But the important fact was that it was accidental and not intentional. When Caitlyn’s car hit a Lexus, the car spun out of control and in turn hit a Hummer. Therein lay his mistake.
The driver of the Lexus who was a Californian widow passed away from the wounds on the spot. The incidence was scrutinized intensely. After nearly half a year of soul-searching and finding clues related to the scene of the accident, a 161 page report was handed in at the D.A.’s office.
The proceedings of the investigation were carried out by the Major Crimes Unit. When Jenner was absolved of any wrongdoing, his/her lawyer announced that they had been sure of his/her innocence in the matter and it was a good thing that this fact had also been acknowledged by the police authorities.
Not even a misdemeanor charge could be slapped on Caitlyn who went scot-free. Now Caitlyn can take a sigh of relief after being let off the hook. Caitlyn’s lawyer also said that an accident could happen any time to anyone. He expatiated how it was not necessarily something that automatically made someone a criminal in the eyes of the justice system.
The only charges that could possibly have been applied to Caitlyn’s case would have been driving beyond the speed limit, according to TMZ. But this was hardly the case since Caitlyn was driving at a perfectly reasonable speed.
The accident in which a Californian widow died took place before the transformation from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner faced the looming charges despite being the center of attention as the most famous transsexual in the world.
