Just a few weeks after publicly talking about it on a morning program, Hayden Panettiere is taking some time for herself and entering a treatment center for postpartum depression. The Nashville star and her fiance Wladimir Klitschko had a baby in December 2014, according to E! News.

"Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression," her rep said. "She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time."
It seems like art is imitating life, because her character on Nashville is also struggling.
Panettiere canceled some appearances, including a domestic violence awareness event in NYC. Her fiance hasn't said anything, but he has been noticeably quiet on social media.
Last month, she opened up to Kelly and Michael on their morning show, saying:
"It's something a lot of women experience. When [you are told] about postpartum depression you think it's 'I feel negative feelings towards my child; I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings. Some women do," Hayden, who also revealed she hopes to have four children, said. "But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal."
It seemed like maybe the actress was prepping the public for what was going to happen, talking about the misunderstandings of post partum: "There's a lot of misunderstanding. There's a lot of people out there that think that it's not real, that it's not true, that it's something that's made up in their minds, that 'Oh, it's hormones.' They brush it off. It's something that's completely uncontrollable. It's really painful and it's really scary and women need a lot of support."
