But, it has not yet achieved it. When it comes to accidentally dropping your phone on a hard floor, the result is damaging your iPhone screen to the extent that it cannot be repaired again.
But now, Apple has filed a patent that can make this screen breaking a worry of the past. The patent was published on Thursday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
It is titled “Active screen protection for electronic device.” According to the patent, Apple may have found a way to protect the iPhone screen when it is dropped on the hard surface.
As explained in the patent, Apple has detailed a bunch of tabs that can be placed around the phone’s screen so that when it falls they will all move into similar position and protect the screen from touching the ground.
It means that all the damage your phone will face in the end is that it will get a little dirty.
There won’t be any permanent damage to your expensive phone at all. The tabs would be positioned inside the screen’s edges so you will not be able to see them all the time.

They will only be in action when needed. It means that if these tabs are developed the way they are mentioned in the patent, we will soon be seeing the increase in durability and life of iPhones.
