Witherspoon wants to see the character of fashion savvy Harvard graduate Elle Wood take on the Oval office!

When Legally Blond was first released in 2001 it became a surprise phenomenon. The story of Elle Woods a fashion graduate of UCLA who joins Harvard Law became a fan favourite. The film earned $141 million at the box office and since then become sort of a classic.

Two years later we saw a less impressive sequel showing Elle Woods fighting for gay dog rights.  Finally after years of speculation there may be hope to see Elle Woods again.

Recently Reese Witherspoon who brought Elle Woods to life gave an interview to Rachel Zoe. In the interview Reese shared she would like to play Elle Woods once again. Reese stated she believes the world is ready for the 3rd Legally Blond film.

This time Reese believes Elle Woods is ready to take on the Oval Office and run for President. According to Reese over the years many writers have come up with different ideas for the third installment.

The time is right because the role of women in politics is currently a hot topic. Especially Americans are discussing the importance of having more women as politicians. So catching up with Elle Woods and seeing what she is up to is the next step.

Elle Woods could probably be a Supreme Court justice and decides to run for office. But Reese shared only her consent is not enough for the project to take off. So Reese asked the fans to call the studio MGM to make another Legally Blonde film. A third Legally Blond film could be a good idea seeing since it already has such a wide fan base. The film could also be the opportunity to wrap up the Legally Blonde franchise.
