The Black Friday 2015 store opening hours start to shape up. In recent years, Black Friday has invaded the Thanksgiving Day. This year will be no different despite some stores having a change of heart and keep closed on Thanksgiving Day. Most notably this year is Staples. The office supply retailer announced early on to keep stores closed on Thanksgiving.

There have been always a slew of stores that kept closed on Thanksgiving Day despite large stores like Walmart, Best Buy and others opening on Thanksgiving Day to offer Black Friday sales.

Phil Dengler over at BestBlackFriday has taken on the effort to contact stores to find out if they are open on Thanksgiving Day. He got a surprising number of responses and confirmations via Facebook. Apparently many retailers are taking their Facebook page very seriously and respond to questions.

Dengler has confirmed a lost of over 30 stores to be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The list includes, BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Petco, Sam's Club, Lowe's and Costco.

The full list of confirmed stores that have closed on Thanksgiving Day, including screenshots of store confirmations have been posted here.
