The concept displayed in Las Vegas was inspired by the naval camouflage schemes used during the First World War.

The Silverado comes with a three-tone paint job that mixes different shades of blue. According to Chevy the paint job gives the concept a visual depth. The color configurations were used by the US and British navies in the early 20th century.
The naval camouflage schemes used on the Silverado were mostly famous during the First World War. The color scheme was called the razzle dazzle and adds a more military character to the Silverado truck concept.
"We created light, medium and darker shaded areas within camouflage bands flowing down the hood, body sides and tailgate," said Todd Parker, director of design, Chevrolet Accessories. "That effect gives tremendous depth to the Silverado's body, while reinforcing the nautical heritage of the unique camo design."
The Silverado concept also features flared wheel arches. Furthermore a sports bar in the bed with LED lights and a utility storage system has also been added. The interior of the truck boasts an orange scheme. The door pulls and glove box handle are all orange in color.
The vehicle is also meant to function as a rescue vehicle for special operations. The body of the car is high strength steel and comes with a fully boxed frame. The Silverado will also be equipped with the latest technologies necessary for armed forces.
Jim Campbell is the GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. According to Campbell the Silverado concept is a multipurpose truck. The truck reflects the go anywhere and do anything commitment of special-forces teams.
