Sony, after a long time, has announced a new addition to its SLT lineup of cameras. SLT cameras are neither the popular DSLRs nor the mirror less cameras.

In actual, the SLT range is fixed with a translucent mirror, so while shooting the AF keeps working. The new camera is named a68 or what Sony likes to call it 4D FOCUS.
It is a 79 point autofocus system with fit-in translucent mirror technology. The mirror allows the camera to track repeatedly and have 8fps burst mode with continuous autofocus.
Beneath the mirror is a whooping 24 megapixel APS-C EXMOR CMOS sensor, a new BIONZ X image processor and ISO range of 100-25600.
There is also an OLED viewfinder with 1.4 million dots resolution. The tilted 2.7 inched LCD has magnificent 460k dot resolution.
The 4D FOCUS camera also has built-in image stabilization; it works with 34 A-mount lenses. The image stabilization can also record videos up to 1080p with 50Mbps XAVC S codec.
