The Moon, Venus, Mars & Jupiter lit up the sky over the weekend!

The Moon along with three stars were visible in the sky over the weekend. The crescent moon was accompanied by Venus, Mars and Jupiter. Anyone could have seen the bright stars shining alongside the moon in the sky.

All you needed was a clear and unobstructed view of the sky in a southeast direction. The collection of stars was a celestial sight prevailing before dawn, according to

The stars were all visible before dawn on Saturday, 7th of November. Venus, Mars and the Moon were pretty dominating in the sky. They were shining shine the brightest, while Jupiter was also visible but not as bright.

Venus especially dazzled in the nightlight of the early morning. Mars had a dimmer shine than Venus. Mars shined with only 1/250th of the bright intensity of Venus.

The Moon was shining 2 degrees to the right of Venus.  Mars was situated above the Moon and Venus. The celestial show actually began earlier in the morning. Those who woke up early saw glimpses of the stars and the moon in the south eastern sky.

The brilliant Jupiter was just to the left and above the crescent moon. The Moon and Jupiter were separated by only 3 degrees. The sighting is due to the different conjunctions and configurations of the planets. The events take place a few times during a single year. However the sighting of three planets along with the moon is a rare sight.
