Ever since Facebook took over Instagram, they have been trying out different types of ads to see what will work best and bring them the most revenue. Now Instagram is trying out ads that will use some of Apple's newest technologies: Apple Pay and 3D Touch.

For those who use 3D Touch, those who are browsing an ad on their Instagram feed will be able to use it to switch to other product options, according to Digiday, who learned it from an anonymous ad agency executive. Apple Pay would allow people to buy these products instantly.
Other ideas that Instagram is allegedly working on are restaurant menu items.
The company believes that it doesn't get enough credit back when people make a purchase, but by allowing them to purchase right through Amazon, they might get more in return. It is a fine line to walk with customers, however, as they don’t want to put off any people who do currently use their application.
Seeing as 3D Touch only really emerged in September, they are likely still in the early planning stages, which was basically confirmed in a statement to Apple Insider: "Mobile commerce is definitely a space we are looking at closely. However, this isn't something we are testing at this time."
