  • VW to announce new sales initiative in the US!

The plan will be announced this week and designed to re-establish the trust of US customers after the emissions scandal.

The AG of Volkswagen will announce a new sales initiative plan. The plan will be announced this week and is directed at the US customers. The plan is another step forward for Volkswagen after the emissions cheating scandal.

Volkswagen also plans to regain the trust of US customers through the new sales plan. The plan was announced right after VW engineers admitted to faking data, according to WSJ. The German automaker’s engineers admitted made up fake carbon-dioxide emissions data in VW vehicles.

Volkswagen also just announced it will offer cash debit cards to existing customers. The cash cars would either be a gift card or a debit card viable at dealerships. The full details about the new initiative will be published this week. The news was confirmed by a VW spokesperson.

According to some dealers the new sales initiative is the first step by Volkswagen. The first step has finally broken the silence and offers goodwill. However the question still remains if the US customers will be able to forgive Volkswagen.

In September Volkswagen came under fire when it was found it was cheating on its diesel emissions. The discovery was made at a lab in the University of West Virginia.

The scientists found VW vehicles were emitting 40 times more emissions than the legal limit. The emissions cheating software was then named the defect devices. Since then Volkswagen sales and re-sale value of vehicles has fallen considerably.
