Steps are needed to offset 100 million individuals from going into penury due to climate change. This devastating effect could be a very real dystopian scenario by 2030 if the world’s leaders are not careful.
There are extreme dangers to poor people from the menace of climate change. As global temperatures rise, steps will have to be taken via developmental efforts. Things must be changed for the better and bad habits must be left behind.

Otherwise disaster awaits humanity as a whole. Also emissions from cars and other means of transportation not to mention factories will have to be drastically curtailed. Unless such steps are taken, the 100 million or so poor individuals on the planet will slide into a penurious state of dearth and starvation.
Within the next dozen years or so, the matter will be resolved either in favor of humanity or against it. If we are not careful we will face dire consequences such as resource depletion, environmental pollution and an overall degradation of quality.
As for the regions that will be the focus of future changes for better or for worse, they include Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. However, this cloud of pessimism does have a silver lining. There is a way out despite the gloomy forecast.
Poverty will have to be reduced via action willy-nilly. Or we are looking at bloody revolutions and a revolt of the masses. And civil war and internecine conflicts will only double and triple if mankind is not vigilant regarding this threat.
Economic development where economics has a human face and not an inhuman one will have to be instituted. Since the poor are responsible for laying down the physical base and infrastructure of the world, it is the job of the elites to provide a net of welfare for their succor.
The poor stand to lose a lot from the shocks of global warming and climate change. For one thing, poverty will not be easy to wipe off the face of the planet if climate change intervenes in the projects initiated by the rich. Besides the catastrophes let loose by climate change, crops will tend to suffer too.
This in itself is quite a setback for the farmers and farmhands. Diseases and pestilences could also multiply at the drop of a hat were the global climate changes to go to an extreme.
Among the objectives that will help ameliorate this deadly scenario may be included: social action, health care, safety and security measures and last but not least…genetically hardy crops. Pollution will have to be curbed and the world will literally have to be redesigned.

"We have the ability to end extreme poverty even in the face of climate change, but to succeed, climate considerations will need to be integrated into development work. And we will need to act fast, because as climate impacts increase, so will the difficulty and cost of eradicating poverty," says John Roome, Senior Director for Climate Change at the World Bank Group.
