It is a big day for Tag Heuer. Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Tag Heuer will unveil today the first Tag Heuer smartwatch. The event is streamed live online starting at 11am ET.

Besides Jean-Claude Biver, TAG Heuer CEO and President of LVMH Watch Division, David Singleton, VP of Engineering for Android at Google and Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel will be present at the Connected event.

What has been known so far:
The Tag Heuer Carrera Connected runs Android Wear on Intel hardware and will go on sale right after the event for $1,500.
Tag Heuer will offer six colorful wristbands in green, red, orange, white, yellow, orange and blue. These are in addition to the black wristband. The Carrera Connected will share the design language of the new Carrera line and sport a titanium grade 2 case. The size of the case is also supposed to match the Carrera 01, which is 45mm. The electronic watch face is matching that of a mechanical Carrera watch.

Tag Heuer announced the Google and Intel partnership in March. Tag Heuer's CEO Jean-Claude has stopped the initial bashing of the Apple Watch. His latest comments are praising the success of the Apple Watch and how beneficial that is for Tag Heuer. The argument is that Tag Heuer will find more costumers for the Connected Watch, customers that want something else than what everybody else has.
