Don't Miss: iPhone 8: Everything You Need to Know
Despite the fact that he doesn't have a very family friendly image at the moment, Blake Shelton has been booked as the host of Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids' Choice Awards. Blake, who is 39 and doesn't have any children of his own yet, announced his hosting gig during a visit to NBC's Today show.
Shelton recently announced his divorce from country superstar Miranda Lambert, and then turned around and revealed that he is dating "The Voice" co-star and No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani.
"My agent called and was like, 'Man, you know, is there anything that you can think of that you'd want to do?' And I actually had been thinking, 'I want to host those Kids' Choice Awards!' And she was like, 'Uh, OK....It's fun. And I want to get slimed!"
Shelton must be pretty excited about it because he did tease about it a few different times.
During the interview, he also revealed that the divorce with Miranda did make him stressed and could be the reason why he dropped some of the weight he had put on:
"The divorce [from Miranda Lambert] happened and I don't know, I stopped eating," he revealed. "I feel like that happened so long ago, I lost some weight that now it's like, 'How did I do that? I need to do that again!'"
The Kids' Choice Awards will air on Nickelodeon in March 2016, with an exact date and nominees to be announced at a later time. Maybe he'll be able to take Gwen's kids to the show.
