People with the now-infamous Volkswagen diesel cars are viable for the gift cards. One of the cards is a $500 gift card usable anywhere. While the other card is also worth $500 and is viable at the VW dealerships.
Along with the cards owners affected by diesel emissions recall are being offered other incentives. The affected customers will be given and extended 3 year 24 hours roadside-assistance deal. The assistance deal is also a part of the Goodwill Package. The tagline of the package is ‘We're Working to Make Things Right’.
The question still remains. Will $1000 be bough to win back the trust of the American populace? Volkswagen was found to be cheating diesel emissions in their cars. The emissions were 40 times greater than the legal limit. Is offering gift cards the right move to re-establish the trust of their consumers?
