We expect Walmart to release the highly anticipated Black Friday 2015 ad tomorrow, Thursday, November 12.
Update 2: Now the Walmart Black Friday 2015 Ad has been released for real.
Update 1: This turned out to be a false alarm. The Tweet announcing the Walmart Black Friday 2015 Ad has been deleted.
Update: Walmart announces Walmart Black Friday 2015 Ad on Twitter today, November 11. Walmart Black Friday 2015 Ad will be released in the Walmart App and online.
Last year the Walmart Black Friday ad got released on November 12, one day after Veterans Day.
The Walmart Black Friday sale was a three part event starting at 6pm on Thanksgiving Day with the first wave of doorbuster deals. The second event was two hours later at 8pm. The 3rd doorbuster event took place on the actual Black Friday at 6am.
The Walmart Black Friday 2015 deals will most likely feature, again, the extremely popular 1-hour guarantee deals. The 1-hour guarantee deals included a 50-inch 1080p LED TV for $218 and a $199 iPad mini deal with $30 gift card. These deals are guaranteed for one hour. This means if a customer is at a sales location of a 1-Hour deal within the time limit he or she gets the deal. In case the product is sold out, the customer receives a voucher for the product.
So far no other retailer has copied the 1-hour guarantee, which is surprising. A lot of Black Friday shoppers are frustrated trying to get their hands on doorbuster deals with their extreme low stock. It is especially a bad experience on Amazon, where the Black Friday doorbuster deals are offered at unannounced times, making it more a lottery than shopping score for Amazon's hottest Black Friday deals. This year Amazon also makes it basically a requirement to be an Amazon Prime member to get the best Amazon Black Friday 2015 deals.
This year Black Friday ads started to leak early. The Half Price Books Black Friday 2015 Ad has already leaked on October 2nd. The most popular Black Friday ads from Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Sears, Macy's and others are still weeks away.
