  • ‘Real Housewives’ Dallas & Potomac spinoffs coming to Bravo!

The new spinoffs green lit by Bravo will make their debut on TV screens in the start of 2016.

Bravo is bringing two more spinoffs to the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise. They city of Dallas and Potomac have been added to the franchise. They will be called ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ and ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’. The reality series from both cities will debut in the start of 2016.

‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ will be set in the affluent Maryland town. The Potomac series will premiere on Sunday the 17th of January 2016. The series will debut at 9:00 p.m. on Bravo. The stars are Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost and Karen Huger. Others are Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby.

All of the real housewives are women who have fought for their social position in their community. All of the women have gated mansions and rolling hills by way of legacy or marriage. The Potomac spinoff is also the chance for Bravo to launch in DC again. The Real Housewives of D.C. in 2010 lasted only one series and was the least successful.

The cast of the Dallas spinoff have not been cast yet. The cast for Dallas will also include a group of sophisticated southern socialites. The Southern version of the ‘Housewives’ will bring drama to the city’s social scene. Since everything is bigger in Texas the series will show glamorous galas, scandals and large egos.

Shari Levine is the exec vice president of current production for Bravo Media. According to Levine the franchise has become a global phenomenon. The franchise also drives cultural conversation while breaking rating records. Bravo is happy to extend the franchise. Potomac and Dallas will give Bravo fans more dynamic stories they desire.

“‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ is the show you never saw coming, and it’s going to take everyone by surprise,” Andy Cohen, exec producer of “The Real Housewives” franchise, told Variety. “As for ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas,’ it’s a natural extension of the franchise with a Southern twist that ‘ya’ll’ will enjoy.”
