The iconic character of Princess Leia is not called by her title ‘Princess’ anymore. No one in the galaxy calls Carrie Anne Fisher’s character by her name Princess Leia anymore. Princess Leia has been elevated to the level of General.
The Royal rebel is referred to as ‘General’ in the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7. J.J Abrams further revealed he has added a moment in the movie which refers to her old title. According to Abrams a character in the film sort of slips and calls her ‘Princess’.
“She’s referred to as General,” J.J. Abrams told EW. “But … there’s a moment in the movie where a character sort of slips and calls her ‘Princess.’”
Although Abrams did not reveal which character called her Princess once again. We can sure imagine who it was. Maybe someone from her past like say… Han Solo? Well we will have to wait until December to see who slips in the film.
Abrams also revealed the stakes in the film are really high. Therefore Leia is not concerned with goofing around. Abrams also revealed how he felt historic to have both Harrison Ford and Carrie Anne Fisher with him to film scenes. Abrams revealed he’s just another fan of the Star Wars series. But both Ford and Fisher have been living it since 1977.
