Microsoft’s Windows 10 can be updated for the first time ever today, and this cuts across all personal computers and tablets among others.

The latest upgrade will bring great improvements and user-friendly experience to personal consumers and commercial partners as well as major companies using the Windows 10 operating system for their PCs and tablets.

Meanwhile, Windows 10 will become available for Xbox One and some particular mobile phones very soon.

With the latest update, consumers can experience improved performance and faster boot time that is 30% faster than previously installed Windows 7 on the same device. Users will also have complete access to the Cortana feature where the Cortana Notebook will identify and recall emails, phone numbers, and addresses which it can customize to set as reminders for you after you use your device’s pen to scribble notes. Cortana is now customized for India, Canada, Australia, and Japan among other markets.

This new update also gives you access to improved security and performance in Microsoft Edge which helps you with previews the moment you hover around open tabs of sites without necessarily leaving your current page. The new browser now syncs Reading list and your Favorites across a number of devices so that you don’t lose track of what you’re reading.

You must bear in mind that great improvements have now happened to your Mail, Calendar, Photos, Groove, Xbox, Store, OneNote, Solitaire, and others after you update your Windows 10 starting from today.

With over 110 million devices including 12 million business computers running on Windows 10, users can now experience a synergy of personal and professional activity using their devices. To this end, Microsoft today released two free services – Windows update for business, and Windows store for business.

Both of these releases create the needed atmosphere for a modern workplace where users achieve more than before. They now have the mobile device management which enables users to effectively manage all their devices across a bevy of Windows 10 devices; and the Azure active directory where IT personnel can join to maintain a large directory where only one login detail suffices to grant access under the most secured platforms.

To better secure organizations and protect individual users against online threats, Windows 10 come equipped with improved protection against hackers. Some of these include Credential Guard, Device Guard, Windows Hello, Windows Defender among others.
