The next 4 inch iPhone will be based on 5S.
We have heard zillions of rumors that Apple will be announcing a new, tiny, 4-inch phone in the future.
Today, we heard a new rumor yet again. A few hours ago the news spread that an iPhone 6C will release in the first quarter of 2016.
But, just as immediately as this news surfaced, we got another new report now which entirely contradicts the first stance.
The new report confirms our suspicion that there will be definitely a 4 inch iPhone. But, opposite to the previous rumors, the new report says that the new iPhone will be based on iPhone 5S and not the much speculated 5C.
The software and some features of the device will be updated but the design and external features will be similar to the iPhone 5S.
According to often-reliable Japanese blog Mac Otakara, we can expect that the new phone will be powered by the A8 chipset.
There will be an improved FaceTime HD camera with f/2.2 aperture. The device will also support both 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1.
These are all the hardware details but we don’t know if 6C will have the 3D Touch feature or not. Mostly 3D Touch is associated with bigger iPhones only.
Various reports also claim that the device is ready for production and thus will launch soon.

If we consider the rumors true than the new mini iPhone will launch in the first half of 2016.
