The new Mazda CX-9 was revealed at the LA auto show. The mid-sized SUV is equipped with the latest SKYACTIV technology turbocharged engine.
The all-new Mazda CX-9 was revealed recently at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The CX-9 is a three-row midsized crossover SUV by the Mazda Motor Corporation. The CX-9 will come equipped with the latest SKYACTIV technology.

The Mazda CX-9 will also have the KODO-Soul of Motion design. The CX-9 has been tailored especially for the North American population. Mazda predicts 80 percent of CX-9 sales will be from North America, with 50,000 units sold. Sale of the CX-9 will start in North America from the spring of 2016.
According to Mazda they are aiming the crossover SUV at more mature families. The latest KODU design portrays a more premium image. The CX-9 offers a quieter and more refined Jinba-ittai driving experience.
The CX-9 also gives off amazing fuel economy performance. The CX-9 also has the i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety features installed. Additionally the CX-9 also boasts the i-ACTIV AWD all-wheel-drive system.
The CX9 is the first Mazda model to feature the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T. The SKYACTIV engine is a new 2.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine. The direct-injection engine offers outstanding fuel economy and excellent dynamic performance.
It is the first turbocharged engine in the SKYACTIV-G series. The naturally aspirated SKYACTIV-G 2.5 can generate a maximum torque of 310 ft-lb. The engine is developed in line and based on the philosophy of the Mazda6 also called the Atenza.
"Introducing the all-new CX-9 into the midsize SUV segment will strengthen our new-generation line-up, and we expect a big boost and sustained growth in North America," said Masamichi Kogai, Representative Director, President and CEO of Mazda.
