Mark has already made the announcement on his own Facebook page. Studies have consistently proven that when parents take time out to spend quality bonding duration with their newly-born babies and their mothers, the overall effect is very salubrious in terms of family strength.
The family that stays together during the imprinting stage, stays together for life as well. All dads who are absent from their children’s lives know that their children or spouses seldom forgive them for the misdemeanor later on in life.
This is a fact that has been proven again and again in inner city conditions where there are single mothers with their kids’ dads missing from the scene.
The fact is Facebook actually lets future dads have upto four months of paternity leave. Mark is being generous by forgoing the two extra months that he has a right to take by virtue of his own company’s rules and regulations.
Zuckerberg wrote on his home page that his wife Priscilla and he were getting ready for the arrival of their daughter. They even had the books and toys ready for her. They had also been busy thinking how they would greet their daughter when she entered this world. Well, two months seemed just the right amount of time to Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg did leave one important fact out of the conversation. He didn’t mention the date when his bundle of joy would be coming into this world. But maybe some things are best left as a surprise for the rest of the folks no matter how interested they may be in knowing every teeny tiny detail.
Mark has indeed been a gentleman in his life and he absolutely loves his wife. Lets wish him and his wife well and congratulate them when the time comes on the birth of a baby girl. May she carry Zuckerberg’s genius genes forward and in fact spawn something even bigger than Facebook in the future!
