Elisabeth Hasselbeck may have just had enough of the Fox news network, as she announced yesterday that she is leaving Fox & Friends. Her desire is to focus on her life as a mom to her daughter Grace, who is 10, and her songs Taylor and Isaiah who are 8 and 6, respectively, instead of working on her career. She also wants to be able to spend more time with her husband, Tim Hasselbeck. Elisabeth left The View two years ago to join the conservative leaning show.

“Oftentimes, the most difficult decisions are between two great things. Throughout my 14 years working in television, I have never experienced a more positive and thoughtful atmosphere than FOX News Channel, thanks to the strong leadership of (FOX News Chairman & CEO) Roger Ailes, who has created the best working environment a woman and mother could ask for,” Hasselbeck wrote in a statement. “His understanding, compassion, and kindness were exemplified when I shared with him that I am entering into a season where I want to start my day with my children first, and he offered his blessing to do so. With a heart full of gratitude and the peace that God has given me, I am confident that this personal decision is the right one for our family, and we will be joining all of you watching Fox & Friends each morning as we get ready for school together."
According to US Weekly, in lieu of Hasselbeck, who is leaving the show at the end of the year, there will be a variety of rotating cohosts until her replacement is hired.
Who knows – may we will see Hasselbeck back on the roundtable over at The View again – they need the ratings and she is looking for a job that requires less time.
