Fiat Chrysler has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilms to promote the upcoming film through 7 TV spots.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was undeniably the most anticipated film of 2015. The release date of 18th December is just a mere days away now. As the premiere nears the marketing campaigns of Star Wars have been going on overdrive.
Now the marketing is going to gain more momentum. Fiat Chrysler has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to co-promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The deal was reportedly struck between the studios and automaker earlier this year. The partnership will see 7 new TV spots of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The ads will also feature the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat.
It may seem a weird combination since cars don’t seem like a part of the galaxy far, far away. However the Fiat Chrysler is seeking to put its own auto-centric spin on Star Wars.
For example the ads for the Dodge will show the cars in variable symbols. The white Dodge Chargers, Challengers and Durangos will be playing the role of Stormtroopers in the ads.
On the other hand the black Dodge Viper will represent the Darth Vader. The ads will be featured in US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. TV spots for Europe, Middle East and Africa will also be created and will be next.

Olivier Francois is the chief marketing officer for FCA Global. According to Francois their brand will be part of the most anticipated movie in decades. It will bring FCA remarkable worldwide exposure for their vehicles. The TV spot ads will be generated by the ad agency Doner.
