The casting of the younger versions of the characters that we know and love were made all during last year and the fans were also treated to the artwork of the production. The curiosity of the fans has been at an all-time high to see the latest Bryan Singer work.
The wait has come to a pit spot for now as the fans can satisfy their curiosity momentarily by watching the trailer for X Men Apocalypse which was released recently. The trailer was released on the internet and has already been viewed and liked by thousands of people.
The trailer features a young Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) waking up from a nightmare in which she saw the world coming to an end. Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) tells her that it was just a dream. But it is not. Set in 1983, a decade after the previous X Men movie, the first born mutant, Apocalypse (Oscar Issac) walks the Earth after spending years in hiatus.
A voiceover tells that he has been called many things over the years. Professor and the Havok (Lucas Till) enter the CIA once more to meet an old ally, Moira (Rose Byrne) who tells them that ever since the mutants’ existence had been discovered, there had been groups formed who were dedicated to studying the mutants.
According to the records, it was believed that a mutant was born some thousands of years ago. Apocalypse calls all the mutants his children while we see some mutants in not so great shape like Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) in her human form, Nightcrawler (Kodi-Smit McPhee) and claims that they are all lost because they all follow blind leaders which includes Charles Xavier.
And Apocalypse then reveals his face to Eric Lensherr aka Magneto (Micahel Fassbender) who looks to be in pain. Apocalypse reveals that he is there for Eric. Moira then reveals that wherever Apocalypse has been, he had always had four followers to whom he had granted special powers and the four chosen mutants are revealed, the young Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Angel (Ben Hardy).
Then we see the Professor in the Cerebro seeing something that causes him to be stressed and reveals that he can control all of the mutants. The scene cuts to the hallway and Magneto pulls back Charles’ wheelchair.
Hank aka Beast tells Raven that the world needs the X-Men. And a montage follows depicting characters engaged in fights while Apocalypse declares that everything will fall and they will build a better world from the ashes of the destroyed world like all mutant villains always wanted to do but Apocalypse seems to have the juice to do it and X Men are the only one who could stop it.
It all comes to the ultimate showdown as we see things happening to the Professor, like his eyes turning all black, being crushed by Apocalypse and ending up in his signatory bald head.
The movie is set to release on Memorial Day next year and fans have their fingers crossed to see the movie take a step ahead from the X Men Days of the Future Past.
