Samsung Galaxy S7 will have Force Touch Display

The next Samsung Galaxy for 2016 is rumored to have a pressure-sensitive display and high speed charging port.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is the next big smartphone release coming up in Spring of 2016. Rumors and leaks have already been surfacing for a while, but today the Wall Street Journal got into the game and released several details about the Galaxy S7.

According to people familiar with the matter, the Galaxy S7 will be launched in March and will sport a pressure-sensitive touch screen. Apple calls this 3D Touch. This feature is a safe bet, as Samsung aims always at beating Apple's latest iPhone.

Other features mentioned by the WSJ report include a high speed charging port and a retina scanner. Samsung is supposed to offer again two versions. The Galaxy S7 Edge will have a curved screen like the Galaxy S6 edge.

Samsung will not tinker much with the design of the Galaxy S7 and keep it in line with the Galaxy S6.

One much missed feature is supposed to make a comeback in the S7. The external memory card slot is supposed to be available on the non-curved Galaxy S7. Many Samsung fans have complained about the decision to not include a card slot in the Galaxy S6.

The Galaxy S6 was better received than the Galaxy S5, but Samsung's mobile profits kept declining for the second year in a row.

Samsung is supposed to again use the Mobile World Congress as the event to launch the new Galaxy. The Mobile World Congress 2016 takes place in Barcelona 22 to 25th of February, 2016.
