The automotive association will carry out a series of events at CES 2016 to showcase their latest technologies. Alliance celebrates GENIVI "cars on the road" with keynote at Consumer Telematics Show, panel sessions at CES.
The GENIVI Alliance is an automotive industry association. The association is known for adoption of specified, open source, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) software.
The GENIVI Alliance will be coming to the CES 2016. At the CES 2016 the association will showcase their latest connected car technologies.
The technologies will be displayed through a series of industry events during the entire CES week. The GENIVI Alliance events will start from the 5th until the 7th of January 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Matt Jones is the GENIVI Alliance president and head of future infotainment at Jaguar Land Rover. Jones will kick off the GENIVI events week at CES 2016.
First off on the 5th, Jones will deliver a keynote presentation at the Consumer Telematics Show. Jones will highlight the efforts of JLR and other members of GENIVI in his discussion. Jones will elaborate how the association is leading the charge in connected cars and paving the way for future players.
GENIVI will also lead two panel sessions around timely cybersecurity on the 6th of January. The panel ‘Connect2Vehicle’ will discuss how connected cars are a prime target for cybercrime.
They will also address growing challenges and threats to connected vehicles. Furthermore existing and emerging technologies for safer and secure cars will also be discussed.
Part one of the panel will be called the ‘Connected Cars – A Landscape Fraught with Peril. The second part will be called ‘Automotive Security Solutions – Full of Promise’.

The CES in January 2016 will be planned by the CTA. CES 2016 will receive over 3600 exhibitors and 150,000 plus attendees. The CES 2016 will come to light in Las Vegas, Nevada.
