The updated version of the webOS 3.0 Smart TV platform comes at CES 2016 with advanced new features including enhanced mobile connection, remote features and expanded content options.
The popularity and demand for advanced smart TV capabilities continue to rise. Recently LG announced it will also reveal it 2016 Smart TV lineup at CES 2016.
The updated version of the webOS 3.0 Smart TV platform will be released in two weeks. The LG webOS 3.0 is built with LG's acclaimed Smart TV platform.
It includes broadcast TV, streaming services and external devices all in one. The updated webOS 3.0 Smart TV platform will come with new advanced features.
The LG webOS 3.0 will be offering three ‘magic’ smart features. The features are Magic Zoom, Magic Mobile Connection and an upgraded Magic Remote.
The features will take the whole TV user experience to a new level. Brian Kwon is the President and CEO at LG's Home Entertainment Company.
According to Kwon the new webOS has a story of Simple Connection, Simple Switching and Simple Discovery. All of it has connected with customers and illustrates LG’s commitment to securing a lead in the smart TV market.
"The new webOS 3.0 is a major update since this advanced TV platform technology was first introduced in 2014," said Brian Kwon, President and CEO at LG's Home Entertainment Company.
"The webOS story of Simple Connection, Simple Switching and Simple Discovery has really connected with customers and illustrates very clearly our commitment to securing a leadership role in the smart TV market with innovation and creativity."
The Magic Zoom feature will allow users to magnify objects and letters. The magnification will not see any degradation in picture quality. With Magic Mobile Connection users will easily connect a mobile phone to their LG Smart TV.
The Magic Remote has made controlling set-top boxes and DVR functions easier. The webOS 3.0 also introduces a unique feature Channel Plus. Channel Plus provides over-the-top (OTT) content in a friendly format. A unified channel list combines both OTT with broadcast TV channels.

LG's 2016 lineup of Smart TVs featuring webOS 3.0 will be on display in LG's booth (LVCC Central Hall, #8204) at CES 2016 from Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.

The Consumer Electronics Show 2016 will take place in the first week of January, 2016. CES 2016 will have more than 3600 exhibitors. A total of 150,000 attendees will come to Las Vegas, Nevada.
