Now the production houses are pushing their movies to be included in the Oscar race and until Oscar Sunday, we will all be rooting for our favorite movies for the win.
The Academy of Motion Pictures and Science has found an interactive way to turn the curiosity of the fans into a healthy competition.
Participants can go to Oscars.org/MyMovieYear where players will receive points for each movie they've seen throughout 2015. The game compares and see what movies we have seen, the movies that we want to see before the year ends and compare that score to the rest of the movie fans around the world.
The movies we have seen are all counted as points. Participants can also collect bonus points for seeing eventual Oscar-nominated films in advance of Oscar Sunday, February 28th 2016. The players can also keep updating their lists till the end of the competition until the end of the competition.
You can go to the link and update their lists by choosing between two options ‘I saw it’ and ‘I want to see it’. The list includes all the movies released this year.
The cover of the movies you mark will turn grey and you can update them later as well. So try and see as many movies as you can. Will one of your favorites get an Oscar nomination this year?
Hope that your favorite movies get nominated on Thursday, January 14, 2016 when nominations will be announced.
