The company aims to simplify the connected world. Semtech and myDevices will build an interactive IoT demonstration platform. The companies will be using advanced visualization tools to build the platform.
The platform will be useful for the LoRa hardware manufacturers by Semtech. LoRa will be able to showcase its modules and sensors in real time with the platform.
A sneak peak of the IoT platform will be provided at the CES 2016. Both Semtech and myDevices will carry out the live demo together at CES 2016.
Hardware manufacturers with LoRa-enabled devices will be free to use the platform. Through the platform online catalog of connected devices will be viewable. The viewing will be accessible to anyone in the world.
The platform will also enable users to control these objects to obtain real-time data feedback. Feedback could be received using any handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets.
The IoT platform will be provided by myDevices. According to Semtech the myDevices tech is an opportunity to showcase many of the LoRa solutions. It will provide a simplified look at the vast array of LoRa enabled IoT solutions.
“Semtech and myDevices share a similar goal in accelerating time-to-market for developers who invest time, energy, and creativity making IoT projects,” said Kevin Bromber, CEO of myDevices.
“Our joint-collaboration provides an innovative solution for LoRa device manufactures to showcase their devices and present real use-cases across a variety of IoT applications in healthcare, connected home, smart buildings, water monitoring, etc.”
“Our LoRa wireless RF technology is being implemented in a wide range of unique IoT solutions, and a concise, interactive platform to demonstrate LoRa’s capability is valuable to our mutual customers,” said Alberto Guerra, Chief Marketing Officer of Semtech.
“myDevices’ demonstration technology is an opportunity to showcase many of the LoRa solutions available and give interested parties a simplified look at the vast array of IoT solutions LoRa is enabling.”
