Virtual reality is still a newbie in the wearable and tech world. While, certainly its implications are huge and eye-dropping; most people certainly do not understand its concept.
Still many companies are leaving no stones unturned to jump into the virtual world. Just now we heard that FiresVR is designing a new VR hardware.
The headset would be named as JiDome-1. The upcoming headset is going to be the first VR related device to compete with Samsung's Gear VR.
FiresVR proudly calls itself as “the Xiaomi of China’s VR industry”.
Most of the products centered on VR are manufactured in China including Gear VR, Holo Lens, and the Oculus Rift.
But most of the products mentioned do not have any official accessory associated to them. FiresVR is the first of its category to enter the VR market.
JiDome-1 was currently tested with a Xiaomi Note flagship phone.
The company has yet to test the compatibility of the headset with other popular devices available in the market.
The headset is currently compatible with 30% of the phones on the market, due to some hardware and software issues.
The JiDome-1 is expected to be in the hands of developers by the first quarter of 2016.
The headset employs a complete optical structure that can be adjusted to different screen sizes.
The VR headset also has proximity sensor, cooling fans, and a 9-axis gyroscope.
