The dashboard is an advanced new interior concept by Bosch. The displays will be found on the door panels. The displays will stretch up to the center console and even the transmission tunnel.
The displays in the show car have been designed to minimize driver distraction. For this particular purpose Bosch has designed a special touchscreen.
The touchscreen can generate different surface textures when pressed. Meaning the specific elements on the screen can be felt.
Drivers will be able to operate different systems within the infotainment system. Even the navigation and the radio can be controlled simply by touch and without looking down at the display.
Bosch is calling the show car its ‘Car of the Future’. The car is also capable of linking up with the diary of the driver. In this way the car can automatically display routes to appointments.
The car will even display alternate routes to next appointments if the current is cancelled. The Bosch show car will even receive the Innovation Award for its project before CES 2016 even opens.
Bosch will also showcase a connected infotainment system at CES 2016. The system can connect with smartphones and control a number of household functions.
The CES 2016 is organized by the CTA and will consist of more than 3600 exhibitors. The convention will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from the 6th to the 9th of January, 2016.
