The Oculus Team has announced it will be shipping out Touch in the second quarter of 2016, and its initial launch date is extended a bit to perfect the hardware and make the ergonomics the best it can be for modern times where everything is evolving fast.

To this end, pre-orders for the new Oculus Touch will commence a month or two before its final release; but this update does not affect the Oculus Rift whose pre-orders have already begun and will be launched for shipping by the first quarter of 2016.

The company revealed it has done a lot to improve on the ergonomics of the new Touch hardware, and other great features that will make the product the best it can be in terms of reliability and comfortability are being perfected at the moment.

And further to this, the team is working on bettering the product’s hand pose recognition capabilities.

Moreover, the company had been conducting a series of mass trials to ensure that everything is perfect and okay for the most savvy customers, and this will ultimately mean that the Touch hardware can further be improved by developers with the required knowledge.

The launching of Touch will also necessitate the launching of other great content, and this promises that customers can look forward to the best experience using the product. A series of previews for the product was done during the Oculus Connect 2 in September, and the next few weeks will be very exciting for both the team and the expectant consumers.

Thousand of potential customers have been giving their feedback regarding the Oculus Touch, and this development is motivating the team behind the product to make it the best it can be in the market by exceeding customers’ expectations.

The Oculus Rift will go on pre-order on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
